About

Drug and alcohol misuse impact significantly on families and local communities as well as the drug and alcohol misusers themselves and their families.  There is often involvement with a range of services such as primary care health services, mental health services, family services, safeguarding, housing and employment services.

Here at ReNew Learning we aim to support individuals to upskill their knowledge in relation to drug and alcohol with an overall aim of reducing stigma associated with drug and alcohol use across and within communities.

ReNew Learning aims to deliver online courses to a wide range of professionals across the full spectrum of services in the city to not only ensure that early identification is paramount, but also offer learning in health promotion and key harm reduction messages in relation to drug and/or alcohol use.

Our courses reach out to the public and the communities and provide them with basic awareness of drug and alcohol as well as skills and opportunities in being ambassadors within their local community. Gaining skills and knowledge in offering harm reduction and early intervention messages.

In time, ReNew Learning will also offer opportunities for our service users and their families to learn at a distance, offering flexibility in accessing learning and skills related to their recovery.

ReNew Learning is part of ReNew, Kingston Upon Hull’s integrated Drug & Alcohol Service.

ReNew offers prevention, problem-solving, harm reduction, recovery, and aftercare support for those experiencing drug & alcohol issues. ReNew also offers support for families, carers, and significant others too.
